Interview Nomination Policy

CompeteHub lets an organization offer an interview nomination as a reward for winning a challenge. This document explains exactly what that is, and — just as importantly — what it is not.
It applies to everyone: participants who win a nomination, and organizations that offer one.
What a nomination is
An interview nomination is a guaranteed place in an organization’s hiring process for a stated role, entering at a stated stage. The organization commits to interviewing you at that stage. Nothing more.
- Screening — a guaranteed screening conversation.
- Technical interview — you skip screening and enter the technical round.
- Final interview — you enter the final round directly.
What a nomination is not
A nomination is not an offer of employment, a job, a guarantee of a job, or a promise that you will be hired. It does not create an employment relationship, and it does not oblige the organization to make you an offer at any stage.
The hiring decision remains entirely with the organization, and CompeteHub takes no part in it. We do not record whether you were hired, we do not ask, and there is no field in our system that could hold that answer.
An organization may not describe a nomination as a job, as an offer, or as any certainty of being hired, anywhere on this platform. Doing so is grounds for removing the challenge and restricting the organization.
Who may offer one
Only a verified organization may offer an interview nomination. Verification requires a valid commercial registration and a confirmed control of the organization’s email domain — two independent proofs, checked by us.
An unverified organization may offer cash rewards only. This is the platform’s main defence against fake hiring opportunities used to extract unpaid work, and it is enforced by the system: a challenge carrying a nomination from an unverified organization cannot be published at all.
What you are told before you enter
Before you enter a challenge carrying a nomination, you are shown the role, the department, the employment type, the location and remote policy, the stage you would enter at, how many nominations are available, and how long the nomination stays claimable after results.
Those terms are recorded at the moment you enter and cannot be changed afterwards. Once the first entrant finalizes a submission, the reward terms for that challenge are locked. An organization may improve them later — never reduce them.
Claiming, and the clock
When results are announced, a nomination is awarded to you and a claim window opens. Unless the challenge states otherwise, you have 30 days to accept or decline. If you do nothing, the nomination expires.
Once you accept, the organization has 14 days to schedule your interview. This deadline is theirs, not yours, and the platform tracks it automatically.
Declining costs you nothing
You may decline a nomination for any reason or none, and you do not have to say why.
Declining a nomination has no effect whatsoever on any cash reward from the same challenge. The two are independent promises, and the platform is built so that one cannot touch the other. You keep the money.
When an organization does not honour it
If an organization fails to schedule your interview within 14 days of your acceptance, the platform records a breach automatically. Nobody has to report it and you do not have to chase anyone.
Breaches affect the organization’s public standing on CompeteHub:
- Below an 80% honour rate across five or more nominations, an organization is placed under watch.
- Below 60% across ten or more, it is restricted and can no longer offer new nominations.
- Standing is shown publicly on the organization’s page.
Why standing is public
A promise nobody can verify is not worth much. Publishing whether an organization keeps the nominations it awards is what makes the offer meaningful — it costs a company something real to ignore one, and it lets you judge for yourself before you spend a weekend on a challenge.
If something goes wrong
If a nomination is not honoured, you can raise a dispute from your account. A person reads every one, and the outcome is recorded with a written reason that you are shown.
A complaint about a nomination never affects any cash you are owed. Prize money and nominations are held separately at every point in the system.
For organizations
By offering a nomination you commit to interviewing the winner at the stage you stated, within 14 days of their acceptance. You are not committing to hire anyone, and you are free to decline any candidate after interviewing them.
You may not use a nomination to obtain work you do not intend to pay for, and you may not offer one for a role that does not exist or is not open. Both are grounds for restriction and removal from the platform.
What you may record about the outcome is limited on purpose: that the interview was held, was not held, or that the candidate withdrew. The platform does not ask whether you hired somebody and provides no way to tell us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the terms recorded against a challenge you have already entered do not change with it. What you were shown when you entered is what applies to you.
